ATA 2010-2011 Membership Renewals!
Since 1996, the Arizona Tourism Alliance, along with its partners, has been a strong voice of Arizona tourism and represents the broad interests of Arizona’s tourism business community at the State Capitol. As an independent voice for Arizona tourism, the Alliance has the ability to partner with key membership organizations related to: business, government and tourism. This ability to partner with organizations across the spectrum, uniquely positions the Alliance to act as a catalyst to generate support and understanding of the positive economic impact tourism provides for all citizens of Arizona.
ATA is the only state tourism alliance dedicated to uniting Arizona’s tourism community statewide. We are the “Voice of Arizona Tourism” as we partner with many other tourism associations, bureaus, chambers of commerce, businesses and attractions.
Mission & Goals
The mission of the Arizona Tourism Alliance, working in partnership with various stakeholders across the state, is to advocate, educate and unite the tourism industry.
Our goal is to promote and increase awareness of the tourism industry by demonstrating how the industry enhances economic vitality and improves the quality of life for all Arizonans.
In the past year, along with our partners, we have:
- Advocated with a strong voice following literally scores of bills introduced for consideration this year. In harmony with our industry partners, we have taken the lead on many critical issues related to a tight Arizona budget environment that contained significant potential impact to the entire state tourism industry. We have sustained the tourism budget in Arizona the previous two fiscal years with our influential and successful legislative letter writing campaigns. Visit the Advocacy Toolkit on the ATA website for further information on this year's advocacy initiatives.
- Educated our legislators, members of our industry and the general public on the importance of our industry to the economic stability of our state, as well as participated in many discussion forums to make the tourism industry’s voice heard on issues of importance to communities, the industry and the taxpayers of Arizona. Enhanced communication has been established through ATA’s monthly electronic newsletter to the industry and media outlets along with the up-to-date ATA website.
- United the tourism industry through networking and education among people and organizations involved with and in the tourism industry, as well as the business community, as the producer of the Annual Arizona Tourism Unity Dinner and a partner of the Governor’s Conference on Tourism.
We greatly appreciate your continued participation. ATA receives no direct public funds and is sustained only by the generous support of its members, partners and friends of tourism. To continue raising awareness, having our voice heard and creating a positive future for Arizona tourism, we need your continued support.
